I liked Topix.net for local news. There was a big accident on Sunrise Highway the other day and I used Topix to find news from blogs and RSS news feeds for Patchogue. From there I was able to find out about the accident and get my fix of local gossip. Who's driving under the influence etc. Look out new Patchogue residents (Kelly) we're watching.
I also found a new feed, Slashdot, on Syndic8. It was off their most viewed list . It's a collection of articles from science and technology. Their description is "News for nerds, stuff that matters".
I found this article on the Smart Car coming to America on Slashdot. If you don't know, that's a car about the size of sneaker that is popular in Europe and other parts of the world.
Lastly, so far, I used Technorati to find pictures. I liked this feature because you can search for blogs, videos, events and pictures all on the same site.
We used to say when I worked in a warehouse, Feed Me? Feed Me? You can't feed me fast enough! What that means, Chi sa.
